I’m all stocked up now on diet dinners so I’ve really got to jerk the slack outta my behind and seriously get back on my own nutrition plan. I would have finished the day comfortably within my allowances if not for the addition of the waffle fries and slaw at Chick-fil-a. I think I may do those during the 2 Ab Ripper exercises in the routine that I could not do. I had been doing 2 really good ab exercises that worked that area really well when I was going to the gym. Felt the Ab Ripper entirely in the upper abs though…felt nothing in the lower, where I need toning the most. Weird as it may sound, I actually LOVE the soreness from a good workout. I don’t feel like I’ve done anything if I’m not sore. Had some good soreness going from yesterday’s workout. (I can’t really see ANYthing in this program being too LITTLE of a challenge!) I really like the way the Plyometrics work the entire body and really challenges muscles, but I don’t think anything will be lost if I just try the Cardio Light and see if it’s enough of a challenge. OR, I could try the Cardio Light next round.

I’ll just have to work myself up to the full workout. I figure I could do this as long as I don’t notice any serious repercussions in the ankles, knees and low back area. I can stick with it and just ease into it. I figure I’ve got 2 alternatives for this workout. Don’t know if I can really use that as sufficient excuse or not. Admittedly, I started out at a disadvantage…I had been up all night last night with a digestive upset. After 40 mins, I fast-forwarded to the cool down. (NOTE: Ladies, WEAR A SPORT BRA for this one!)Īnd then there was just one more disgraceful detail…I could not go the duration. There was only a couple of moves that I simply could not do at all…I just did jumping jacks on the rebounder for the duration of those exercises. There were a few that I was able to do on my rebounder, which helped remove some of the impact. My ankles, knees and lower back just could not take the pounding from some of those moves. I had to do a lot of modifications to some of the higher impact moves.

I figured my carcass would be shocked sufficiently by just the revisiting of P90X…I didn’t think it wise to overwhelm it with too much of a challenge at one time.Īll formal announcements of my renewed commitment having been hereby stated before God and the worldwide web, I commence with tonight’s Shoulders & Arms workout.

I’ve not been eating AWFUL this week, but not really ‘dieting’ either. And equally as surprised at how much I’ve LOST in my LOWER body, where it appears fat has attempted a complete takeover of said territory. I had great difficulty MOVING today (day 3), but nonetheless, have really been surprised at how much strength I retained in my upper body. I started back on my P90X fitness plan this past Monday. As January nears an end, I am beginning to feel as though I just might survive the passing of another winter season, hence I need to muster motivation to move on with my personal fitness endeavors. Likely, the poisonous but oh so delicious soul food typical of such festivities has something to do with the decline in energy levels. Holidays just suck everything of any virtue out of me. But it DOES make a good journal for recording my fitness adventures with Tony for mySELF! Not that anyone reads this enough to notice.
